GOLF TOUR OVERVIEW

Day 1: Arrival, check-in 6:00 pm and Welcome Dinner; For early arrival, ceramic village tour.

Day 2: Golf at BRG Kings Island Golf Resort, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2018 with spectacular views. Experience the speed boat ride to the island.

Day 3: Golf at Phoenix Golf Resort, the champion course in Ha Noi with surreal settings and limestone outcrops (not found anywhere else in the world).

Day 4: Ha Noi City Tour - attend Flag Raising ceremony, eat famous Pho, drink famous egg coffee, tour literature temple, and city motorcycle tour.

Day 5: Fly to Da Nang and golf at Ba Na Hills surrounded by magnificent scenery, which was developed by Luke Donald the number one golfer in 2011. This course is the longest course in VN boasting 7,858 yards and was named one of the 100 best golf courses in the world in 2020 by Golf Digest Magazine.

Day 6: Golf at Sai Gon Vietnam Golf and Country Club (East Course), which is a premier golf club Designed by Lee Trevino. End the night with the Sai Gon dinner river cruise.

Day 7: Golf at The Bluffs Ho Tram, Vung Tau, designed by Greg Norman and also one of the top 100 best golf courses in the world in 2020. You can admire the beautiful coastline from all 18 holes.

Day 8: Tour Sai Gon, vespa motorcycle city tour, back street markets and vendor gourmets. Farewell Dinner.

A Special December Tour Offering

Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.

Hạ Long Bay was added as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

One of the best times to visit Hạ Long Bay is November—there are blue skies aplenty, temperatures are moderate and there’s a good chance of calm seas.

One of Cuisine Adventure Tours’ customers has recently committed to a tour this late summer. As she gets ready for her tour, there are lots of things that are crossing her mind. We hear from her now as she explains some things she will do to prepare for the cuisine tour:

One of the things that I needed to research before the tour was what type of money Vietnam uses. In case you are wondering, it is the Vietnamese dong (VND)!  I wanted to arrive with some local money, so I went to my bank and ordered a small amount of Vietnamese dong. The exchange rate of U.S. dollars (USD) to Vietnamese dong is very high. Although it fluctuates, one USD equates to about 22,000 to 25,000 VND.

A second thing I needed to research was the weather. While it does stay consistently warm throughout the year, it can fluctuate. November through April is a bit cooler and mostly dry, where as the summer months can reach very hot temperatures and experience rainfall.

Since I am going during August, when it is warmer, I will pack light-colored, loose clothing, keeping in mind to pack something appropriate for temples and places of worship. I will pack loose pants, dresses, a couple pairs of shorts, some t-shirts and tank tops as well as a scarf or shawl for when it’s cooler at night or I need to cover my shoulders.

Another thing that I wanted to research was how to say a couple of useful or common phrases in Vietnamese. Some of the common phrases I wanted to learn were, “Hello”, “How are you?”, “Can I buy…?”, “Thank you!” and “Goodbye”. Tan Pham, co-founder of Cuisine Adventure Tours and one of the guides that accompanies you on the tour, enthusiastically provided answers and translations for me.
