Cuisine Adventure Tours’ owner Tan Pham is donating two tours valued at over $5,000 to be auctioned at the October 26, 2018 HeartLink Gala, benefitting Children’s HeartLink.
The Minneapolis-based organization's aim is to save the lives of children with heart disease. Children’s HeartLink started in 1969, when a young doctor serving in Vietnam asked his father in Minnesota to perform lifesaving surgery on Vietnamese children with heart disease. Since then, the organization has evolved to train local medical teams in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam, making it possible for children to be treated in their own country.
Says Tan, “Children’s HeartLink is a very worthwhile organization, doing amazing things for children with heart disease and their families. We’re honored to be able to support their efforts with the donation of two tours in Vietnam through Cuisine Adventure Tours. Our hope is that the auction of these tours will not only provide necessary funds for helping Children’s HeartLink further their mission, but will allow the participants in the tours to deepen their understanding of Vietnam’s rich culture, heritage, and, of course, cuisine.”
